Niantic played some crazy Pokémon GO ads, and we usually see this kind of thing after 4 o'clock in the east. Most of the time is in late September, when the excess bonus for summer events is on the line, but at least some of it is now here.
Jirachi is now available through the special research mission "A Thousand Year Slumber".
Jirachi is a charming little wish Pokémon that sleeps for a thousand years and grants wishes written on notes attached to its head when it wakes. Like Mew and Celebi, it's a sort of ethereal cute little thing that serves as a counter-balance to the more menacing Legendary Pokémon.
To catch the Mythical Pokemon, you'll first need to complete a variety of Research tasks. There are seven sets of tasks in total, and many of them revolve around Pokemon that hail from the Hoenn region. A few of the quests, however, will require you to do some battling, so you'll need to put in a lot of work to complete the entire line.
Once you've cleared all of the Special Research tasks, you'll earn the chance to capture Jirachi.

For me, Pokémon GO is always at its best when doing special research. Maybe I am just a goal-oriented gamer, but when you complete a quest line, it will only make it easier for you to organize your game. I hope that we have a special study for each event, but for now, I will get one or two for one or two years. This is what I hope to see when Pokémon Sword and Shield came out in the fall.
As people begin to walk through the steps, as well as a host of other unlocks and super rewards, continue to pay more attention to Jirachi's information tomorrow. It seems that Niantic really wants you to play Pokémon GO in September.
