FIFA 22 is set to be the best version of the game yet, especially on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Recently, nine new Icon players, who are set to debut on FIFA 22, may have been revealed.

 
 

FIFA 22
Unsurprisingly there has been no word on when FIFA 22 will officially be released, but we can have a pretty accurate guess. FIFA 22 will likely be released between Friday, 24 September and Friday, 8 October, 2021, judging by the release in previous years. BE CREATIVE: Use directed runs in FIFA 21 to take control of the runs your teammates make. We may not be too far off seeing a trailer with EA Play Live set to arrive on Thursday, 22 July. Electronic Arts revealed the official date on Twitter and it also confirms that the event will run separately to E3 2021.
 
Nine NEW Icons
The leak was spotted by FIFA Twitch streamer KingLanpard as FIFA online got a new update that included nine new faces, including some huge names. A strong Dutch presence has been rumoured, with marksman Robin van Persie, the gifted Wesley Sneidjer and destroyer Jaap Stam all set to make their icon debut. Two South American goal machines are also possibly going to feature in the shape of Diego Forlan and Gabriel Batistuta. FIFA fans might be able to keep more clean sheets with the addition of the classy Lucio at the back and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas between the sticks. Former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung is another possibility, plus his relatively unknown compatriot Cha Bum-Kun. The full list is as follows:

On top of those, some rumors have suggested that Chelsea legend John Terry will join the ICON list in FIFA 22, but, like the list above, that’s unconfirmed. EA will likely keep quite a few of the FIFA 21 ICONs and move them into FIFA 22, and add a handful of new names.
