In WOW Classic, players always get themselves with pets. There are 6 basic abilities for pets: Bite, Claw, Cower, Growl, Dash and Dive. To get a pet, you need to learn how to feed them.
Do you grasp some ways of feeding your pet? Follow this short article, you will find the answer.
Feed Pet allows hunters to maintain the happiness and loyalty levels of their pets.If either of these two pet stats dip below certain default percentages, the pet will become unruly and may eventually abandon the hunter. One can keep track of a pet's happiness level easily using the happy face icon beside the pet's display on the UI. Also, in the pet's attributes dialog, the happiness icon also shows the food types a given pet will consume.
You can gain the Feed Pet ability at level 10 by completing the Hunter training quests. In the hunter pet taming quest chains, you gain the Tame Beast ability when you have tamed your third quest pet and returned to the trainer. In addition to the Tame Beast ability, you get a 'go, see' quest to see another hunter trainer. That short 'go, see' quest rewards you with the Feed Pet ability. So, you gain the Tame Beast ability before you gain the Feed Pet ability, and you can tame a pet before you can feed it, but the result is an unhappy pet that you cannot make happy nor loyal, and will eventually leave you, unless and until you complete the final leg of the quest chain. So make sure to complete the quest line before trying to tame a pet.
Pet happiness is also important because it increases your pet's loyalty. There are 6 possible loyalty levels, which starts at loyalty level 1 when you first tame a pet. To increase your pet's loyalty, you must have the pet summoned while killing enemies. If you use the pet for long enough, eventually you will progress its loyalty level up to 6. The higher its loyalty level, the easier it will be to keep your pet well fed and happy, while also increasing your its total training points.
Each pet family has different types of foods that it will eat, like meat or fruit or bread. You can find out what types of food your pet will eat by looking at the Pet tab of your Character Info panel. Beast Lore will also tell you a beast's diet. Or check out our handy Pet Diet Chart. The level of food is also important: it determines whether or not your pet will eat the food you offer. Your pet will refuse to eat food that is too low level! So
it's a good idea to use food that is close to or above the level of your pet.
You can only have three pets at once; one active one and two at the stablemaster. However, when you are in the process of taming pets to unlock abilities, you should keep one free slot open. That way, you can keep taming and releasing pets without having to give up one of your key pets.
