Vision Concepts adds a splash screen to NBA 2K20 to honor Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant, who was killed in a helicopter accident on Sunday. Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others are flying to Thousand Oaks Practice classes at Mamba College. The helicopter crashed on the side of a mountain in Calabasas, killing all crew members. The tragedy shocked the sports world, and many people who were close to the Lakers and inspired by him paid tribute to him.
 
Developer Visual Concepts commemorates Kobe Bryant with a new splash screen that appears every time a player loads NBA 2K20. The tribute can also be seen in the central area of the neighborhood. As a billboard, Kobe is the cover player for NBA 2K10 and NBA 2K17 Legend Edition.
 
Three new NBA 2K20 locker codes were released on Thursday night, but fans should be cautious before inputting one of the free offers. Here is a look at the codes leaked by popular NBA 2K MyTeam YouTuber Shake and Bake, but read on to learn some of the issues with the “Thank You, Kobe” code:

 
 

Bryant was the cover athlete for NBA 2K10, and his likeness has been one of the most used in the game’s history. Every version of Bryant that is available in the game has become among the most coveted.
 
Honoring Bryant is a classy move on the part of 2K, and members of the development and marketing team took to Twitter even before this memoriam went live in the game.
 
A limited number of tickets to the celebration of life service will be available, and people may register to purchase them at Ticketmaster from 11 a.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Lakers. Tickets will be available at the following prices: $224 each, two for $224 and $24.02 each, according to the Lakers. Like the date of the memorial, the ticket prices appear to have been chosen to honor the jersey numbers —No. 24 and 2 respectively — by Kobe and Gianna. The memorial is expected to honor all nine victims killed when Kobe's helicopter crashed in Calabasas while on its way to a basketball tournament in Thousand Oaks on the morning of Jan. 26.
