What are Astral Diamonds?
Astral Diamonds (AD) are one of the most useful types of currencies in the game, and work in synergy with ZEN, Neverwinter’s real-money currency. They are used as the base currency for various services, such as the Auction House and various “time-savers” in the game. Some activities in Neverwinter, like leveling up companions, require time to complete, but if you’re in a hurry, you can use AD to speed up the process.  You can also use the Astral Diamond Exchange to transfer AD into ZEN and vice-versa!
 
How to get Astral Diamonds?
Daily Quests: Daily Quests are the most common ways to obtain AD. You can do different types of Daily Quests (PvP, PvE Dungeons, PvE Skirmishes, and Foundry Quests) that award AD upon completion. The rewards differ from one Daily Quest to another. Talk to Rhix in Protector’s Enclave to initiate Daily Quests or simply activate them via the Landing Page!
 
Enchantments: Be sure to use your utility enchantments and Wanderer’s Fortune to make RP. The more RP you make yourself, the less Astral Diamonds you have to spend on it. You can also use that RP to refine enchantments that you can sell. See our Refinement Guide for more info on refinement. I currently use x2 Dragon’s Hoard, x2 Quartermaster’s and x1 Fey’s Blessing, along with a mount with Wanderer’s Fortune. The Griffon mount is a good mount to get Wanderer’s Fortune. If you play a lot on your character you actually only need one of each enchantment as you will hit the cap.
 
To sell on auction put your starting bid at 25 AD or less and you won't be charged a posting fee. Selling fee doesn't get charged until after sale and is subtracted automatically from your collections. So you can have any amount as Buyout price without a charge up front. Keep an eye on AH. Once you know what stuff sells for, you'll be able to buy low/sell high. Stick to consumables if you can, as there's always a market for those. Without item degrade, weapon and items move much slower.
