How to Start the Way of the Three quest in Diablo 4

To begin with, you should head to the East of the Imperial Library to the location in the image above. Once you’re there, you should notice an empty altar, which will read: “As you get closer to the altar, your teeth begin to ache. There is a distinct humming. It appears some things are missing from the three altars…” Additionally, you will find three plaques on the cube’s South, East, and West sides in the center of the room. The plaques each give a riddle for you to decipher, each leading to a statue that you must light.

3.“Divine Dialon, god of determination, pass judgment upon the weak. May our souls be cleansed and resolve strengthened. Our hands are torn as we move soil and stone for you. Your servants Praise at the feet of your effigy to be bathed in eternal flame.”

 

Once all three statues are activated, a blue quest marker will appear directly to the east of the Imperial Library Waypoint in Caldeum. Head to the marker to find an Unknown Altar near the Gates to Hell. Interacting with this will open a portal that leads to a secret cultist base where a sinister ritual has gone horribly wrong. Dispose of the enemies inside to receive the Hellfire Hauberk, a unique rare chest piece that rolls with Ultimate Damage, Close Damage Reduction, and % Total Armor.

 

Eventually, you will make it to an Engraved Stone Door. As you start to attack this door, Ghouls will ambush you. Fend them off to resume damaging the door. This will occur two more times; fight off each wave of Ghouls as they appear. Soon, you will destroy the Engraved Stone Door, permitting you entry into the next area.

 

Behind the door is the Blood Echo boss. This boss functions almost exactly the same as the Blood Bishop boss that you may have encountered in other dungeons like Akkhan's Grasp or Hallowed Ossuary.

 

After defeating the boss, inspect Symon's corpse and read the Tattered Journal that he drops.
